Hello.

I'm Jon Nemargut, a UX Designer at SAS.

I've worked on a few interesting projects.

Feel free to contact me.

Designer. Researcher. Improviser.

I graduated NC State University with a Computer Science degree and I love to work in code. My prototyping tools of choice include: Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Balsamiq. Personas, journey mapping, user research, paper prototyping, high fidelity mockups. I'll do it all and take no prisoners.

I have an amazing wife and two wonderful kids. I'm looking forward to the day when they're old enough to see my improv show.

SAS Visual Analytics.

Interactive reporting. Visual discovery. Self-service analytics. Scalability and governance. All from a single, powerful in-memory environment. My main UX expertise has been incorporating natural language generation to allow users to create dynamic descriptions of their reports.

Our UX team incorporated Visual Analytics to win the Award for Outstanding Clarity of Presentation in the IEEEVIS VAST Challenge.

SAS Visual Investigator.

A program used by police departments, insurance, and banking industries to investigate crime. My main UX expertise was working on the page builder aspect of this project which allowed companies to personalize elements of the application in extensive ways.

My work in overhauling Visual Investigator's commenting system was published by AHFE.

SAS Text Analytics.

A program to uncover insights hidden within unstructured data using the combined power of natural language processing, machine learning and linguistic rules. My main UX expertise has been overhauling the filtering and searching aspects of this product as well as incorporating natural language interactions.

Twin Sarah.

Alexa rotating image

I put together a fun little Alexa Skill. Alexa's twin sister, Sarah, wants to play a series of games with you. It starts out innocent enough, but eventually you'll find yourself in a terrifying puzzle of lies.

Just say, "Alexa, Play Twin Sarah!" and play this quick 5 minute game.
